Pangnirtung
Pangnirtung has a long tradition of making colourful scarves and mitts, but most famously, hats. These items often referred to as Pang Hats are knitted caps of many bright colours often with a tassel, created in Pangnirtung, Baffin Island, Nunavut at the Arctic Circle by groups of Inuit crafts people working in unison from their homes within the village. The colours and designs are symbolic of the traditional Eastern Arctic way of life and are an important part of the culture.
